The Capcir changes face
Meadows, pine forests and mountain lakes: in summer, the Capcir becomes a vast natural playground. At 1,800 m, Puyvalador offers cool mountain air and the peace of the Pyrénées Catalanes Regional Nature Park.
Chalet Les Deux Frères is the ideal starting point: hikes from the doorstep, Lake Matemale 10 km away, and the finest sights of the Cerdagne less than 30 minutes away.

Summer activities
Les Bouillouses lake
The jewel of the Catalan Pyrenees: a lake over 2,000 m high, facing Pic Carlit (2,921 m), the highest summit in the Pyrénées-Orientales. It is the starting point of the Carlit lakes loop (about 10 km past a dozen mountain lakes) and a stage of the GR10. In summer, access is by shuttle from the Pla de Barrès car park: arrive early, it fills up fast.
