SCI LE CHALET takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page explains what data we collect on chalet-lesdeuxfreres.fr, why, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law.

Data we collect

• When you book: first and last name, email address, phone number, postal address, dates of stay, number of guests and any special requests.
• When you pay: card details are entered and processed directly by Stripe; we never have access to them.
• When you contact us by email or phone: the information you send us.

Purposes and legal bases

Recipients

Your data is intended for SCI LE CHALET and is never sold. It may be processed by our technical providers, only for the purposes above: IONOS (website hosting, France / EU), Stripe (secure payment), our booking confirmation email service and, if you accept, Google (Google Maps).

Some of these providers (Stripe, Google) may transfer data outside the European Union, notably to the United States. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).

Retention periods

• Booking data: for the duration of our relationship, then 3 years after your last stay.
• Accounting records (invoices): 10 years, as required by law.
• Contact enquiries without a booking: up to 3 years after the last exchange.
• Your cookie choice: 6 months.

Cookies

This website only uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work, which do not require your consent:

• remembering the website language (French / English);
• secure operation of the booking module and payment (Stripe);
• remembering your cookie choice.

The Google Maps embedded on the website set third-party cookies. They are only loaded if you accept them. The website does not use any advertising or analytics cookies.

You can change your choice at any time using the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to set instructions regarding your data after your death. To exercise these rights, email us at chalet.lesdeuxfreres@gmail.com or write to our registered office. We reply within one month.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Security

The website uses HTTPS and payments are processed by a PCI-DSS certified provider. We take reasonable measures to protect your data.
